Hand-Knotted Oriental Rugs for Sale in Jacksonville
“Oriental rug” is the broad term for hand-knotted rugs woven across a wide region of Asia, including Iran (Persia), Turkey, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tibet, and China. Persian rugs are Oriental rugs made in Iran. All of them share the same essential quality: they are tied by hand, knot by knot, on a loom, which makes them far more durable than machine-made or tufted rugs. Learn more in our article on Persian vs. Oriental rugs.
Styles You’ll Find in Our Showroom
- Oushak rugs: soft, muted palettes and open designs that suit both traditional and modern Jacksonville homes.

- Tabriz and classic Persian designs: intricate floral medallions and detailed borders.

How to Choose an Oriental Rug
- Measure your room and decide where the furniture will sit. Our rug size guide shows the right sizes for every room.
- Check the construction. Flip the rug over: the pattern should be clearly visible on the back of a hand-knotted rug. See our guide to spotting hand-knotted rugs.
- Consider knot density. Higher knot counts allow finer detail. Learn what knot count really means.
- See colors in natural light. Hand-dyed wool has natural variation, called abrash, that gives each rug depth and character.
